An intern is required for the project titled "Testing novel organic semiconductor compounds in perovskite solar cells"
Project title: Testing novel organic semiconductor compounds in perovskite solar cells
Description: Perovskite solar cells is a new photovoltaic technology that has a great potential for commercial application. Current records in power conversion efficiencies has reached 26%. The actual problem that is still to be solved before technology commercialization is improving operation lifetime of the device. The stability of the device can be achieved by careful selection of the good performing charge transport layers that will be synthesized specifically of this project. This project aims at studying novel organic semiconductors in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The student will learn the full fabrication process of PSCs and methods to study the main solar cell characteristics. Optionally the student can participate in the organic synthesis of the studied materials.
Candidates requirements: ➔ background in organic chemistry/organic synthesis/physical chemistry
Supervisor: Research Scientist Marina Tepliakova
Internship duration: from 3 months depending on work load
The start date of the internship: preferable from September 2 (negotiable)
